If you are looking for a specific style of sticker for a specific item in the aisle of a handicraft store, and you end up empty-handed and frustrated, you will be happy to know that you can make your own sticker using a Cricut machine.
With cricut, you no longer need to buy expensive stickers that are mass-produced. You can use the printing and cutting options on the Cricut machine to make your own custom stickers. Whether you use stickers for charts and posters, journals or planners, the works you can make are limitless.
The Cricut machine is a high-performance electronic cutting machine that has changed the way people make. Instead of using craft knives or scissors to cut, Cricut cuts complex designs on hundreds of materials with laser-like precision.
Cricut Maker is less than 2 feet wide and less than 12 inches high, and it takes up very little space.
You can use various tools to make a seemingly unlimited number of crafts. These tools can be purchased separately or bundled with Cricut Explore Air 2 or Cricut Maker.
These machines are connected to the computer when you download the Cricut Design Space application for making products. It also provides access to images in Cricut Access. Some of these designs are free, others can be purchased separately or through membership.
Using Cricut’s printing and cutting options, you can connect your design to a home inkjet printer to print the design in full color, and then put the design into your Cricut to crop your design. Use the “Print and Cut” option to make stickers.
The use of stickers has gone beyond decorating charts, posters, worksheets or scrapbooks, although these platforms are still very popular. In short, you can use stickers wherever you want to decorate or add features. Use stickers to make custom labels, paper planners, periodicals, stationery, gift tags, etc.
With cricut, you can make stickers using pre-made online designs. If you are ready to meet design challenges, you can create your own challenges. You can also access other Cricut tutorials provided by bloggers, which provide their own pre-made designs in .SVG, .PNG, .JPEG or PDF format.
Only Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut Maker have a “print and cut” option for making stickers. Use this option to print the sticker image from a home printer, and then use Cricut to cut the sticker. You can accomplish all of these operations in a single project file.
Visit the sticker sheet website to download a template of a specific sticker sheet and save it on your computer. Although Cricut adhesive paper is very easy to use, it may be too thick for some inkjet printers; you may need a thinner option.
Open Cricut Design Space, click “Create New Project”, and then click “Upload”. Find the pre-made image file and click “Upload Image”. cricut Design Space will automatically prompt you to select the picture type; select “complex”. Click “Save as Print and Cut Image.” Name and label your project, then press “Save”. Click “Insert Image”. You should now see the image on the canvas.
Adjust the image size of the size sticker you want to make. You can also change the color of the image and add text or other shapes. Under “Fill” at the top of the page, click the down arrow and change to “Print.” Click “Select All” on the top toolbar. In the lower right corner of the screen, click “Flatten”. This is an important step because it converts the image into a printable image.
Change the number of copies to the number of stickers to be printed. This step may follow the “Print” option in the next step.
Load the self-adhesive paper into your inkjet printer. Click “Make” in the cricut design space. Click Continue, and then click Send to Printer. Click “Print” to print out the sticker design. If you were unable to change the number of stickers to be printed before, you can do so now.
For best results, remove all paper from the printer tray and add only one sticker at a time. You may want to print a piece of practice paper on plain paper.
Click “Continue” on your phone, tablet or computer. In the cricut design space, select the material you are using. If you are using Cricut stickers, please select “Stickers”. If you use other paper, click “Washi”. Cricut Maker will automatically prepare the cutting pressure and speed. For Cricut Explore Air 2, select “Custom” on the SmartSet dial, and then select the material.
Starting from the left corner, place the printed sticker on the Blu-ray cutting mat. Smooth the paper with your hand, scraper or scraper. Place the mat in the cricut tray.
Press the flashing arrow button to load the mat. The cricut icon button on the cricut machine should start flashing. Press the button and Cricut will start cutting your sticker. Design Space will tell you when the cut is complete and remind you to remove the mat. Press the flashing arrow button to unload the mat.
Remove the sticker from the mat, and then peel the sticker from the paper. Now they can be used!
